JOB DESCRIPTION

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lighting product knowledge, competitive manufacturer understanding of market levels
  • Creating detailed bills of materials from plans, schedule and specifications
  • Project Bids, job costing, organization, working well under pressure and time constraints
  • Breakouts
  • Negotiating pricing with manufacturers and customers
  • Electronic Filing
  • Running Reports
  • Pricing issue resolution
  • Coordinating pricing and part numbers with Project Management through project completion

REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates are preferred, although not required, to have a bachelor’s degree or beyond

Candidates should be proficient in the following skills:

  • Microsoft Office 365 Products & Solutions
  • Knowledge of basic lighting control systems (sensors, power packs, distributed and digital systems)
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
  • Ability to read and understand lighting shop drawing
  • Excellent organizational practices
  • Good communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

PREFFERRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge of industry estimating software (Oasis or Sales Assistant)
  • A keen ability to calculate percentages without a calculator
  • 10 Years or more of manufacturer representative or distributor quotes
